have been made to a file since its last backup.
The powerful FastBIT engine compares two different
versions of the same file and identifies binary level
differences between the two files. When the differences
have been isolated, they are saved to a new file and
compressed (often to more than 85% smaller than the
original file).
The changes are then combined with the previous backup
to create an identical copy of the most current file.
This eliminates the need to send the entire file to
the server on all future changes. In addition to saving
time and bandwidth, this offers an option of restoring
files at any point in time.
